Our Associates and Advisors:Ken Maurer is our Director of training. Ken is an economist and education consultant who has trained with Gabe Suarez, Southnarc and John Peterson. He's been shooting both rifles and handguns since childhood. He's an NRA Certified Instructor for Home Firearm Safety, Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, Personal Protection in the Home and Refuse To Be A Victim. He's also an NRA Training Counselor and Chief Range Safety Officer, as well as an NROI Range Officer. He's certified by the Massachusetts State Police as a Basic Firearm Safety Instructor and by the Utah Department of Public Safety as a Concealed Firearms Instructor. Ken has completed the 4 Day Defensive Handgun program at Front Sight.Chad Shevlin possesses a broad degree of law enforcement, security and military experience. Chad served as an Infantry squad leader in the United States Marines where he earned multiple commendations and decorations for his actions in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003. During his military tenure, Chad achieved the rank of Sargent, graduated numerous specialized military courses and schools addressing small unit tactics and field operations. Chad is presently a full-time police officer for a major metropolitan police department where he is a Terrorism liaison Officer (TLO), Multi-Assault Counter-Terrorist Action Capabilities (MACTAC) Instructor, and crisis intervention officer (CIT). In addition to his professional law enforcement duties, Chad is an Adjunct Firearms Instructor for the U.S. DOE Protective Force Training Division and acts as a consultant on terrorism-related projects.Andy Langlois is a veteran police officer who has served in several states. He has, in addition to his police firearm training, trained with Randy Cain, Jeff Gonzales and Jim Crews.
